3 Thoughts I Had After Watching the VS Fashion Show

Victoria’s Secret heard us last year and came back stronger this year. Although I still have some opinions, so let’s get into it:

  1. I don’t want to see sweatpants on the runway. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Victoria’s Secret a lingerie company? I am well aware of the fact that PINK is a more teen-friendly version of the brand, however that doesn’t mean a sweat set belongs on the runway. Replace a baggy silhouette with a more form fitting legging and matching sports bra. Replace a baggy silhouette with little cotton shorts that have “PINK” emblazoned on the back.
  1. Let’s retire the slicked-back buns, please. Let the curly-haired girls rock their natural hair while they strut down the runway. Let the straight-haired girls rock the big bouncy blowouts we all know and love. In fact, the more volume, the better. The hair is the most important part of the look (besides the wings, of course). Big hair is sexy!
  1. The OG supermodels are still taking the runway by storm, and I’m here for it. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Adriana Lima, and Candice Swanepoel are the essence of VS, so it’s only right they keep making an appearance. There’s a stigma around being a model past a certain age, and it couldn’t be further from the truth. Beauty doesn’t simply wither away when you reach a particular point in life. I’m of the belief that beauty actually blossoms the more life you live.
