Paige Lorenze Embodies Kennedy
Paige Lorenze, or more recently, Paige Paul, has made headlines with her gorgeous wedding look. Married this past July, Paige has been the talk of the town; more specifically her “Kennedy-esque” wedding. Mrs. Paul opted for a Carolina Herrera gown, with a beautiful high neck and drop waist. The only sparkle came from an elegant pair of statement diamond earrings. Her hair was perfectly sleek in a bun, and the veil effortlessly draped from the crown of her head. She wore a very simple makeup look, highlighting her natural beauty and facial features. Instantly it is reminiscent of a certain Kennedy wedding.
While her look bore no obvious resemblance to Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s, what they unmistakably shared was timelessness. From the gown, to the hair, to the makeup, Mrs. Paul emulated the understated and effortless look Carolyn Bessette Kennedy embodied on her wedding day. A nod to simpler times, the day felt more centered on the momentous occasion itself, rather than an extravagant “party.”
Even the location in which Tommy Paul proposed mimicked the Kennedy story, on the island of Nantucket where Paige spent most of her childhood summers. She described the moment as “…intimate and felt like the perfect reflection of us. No cameras or videos. Just us.” The momentous occasion reflects a shift toward a new era of simplicity, a quiet departure from the obscene extravagance that once marked celebrity weddings.
